The Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu is pleased to announce the immediate lifting of the ban on dredging and mining activities in Rumuokparali Community.
This decision follows extensive consultations and agreement between community leaders, environmental authorities, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring that all dredging and mining operations adhere to strict safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
All operators are directed to resume activities responsibly and in full compliance with the Obio-Akpor Local Government Councilβs guidelines and all applicable state and federal laws.
The Council will maintain strict oversight to ensure adherence to these standards, and any violations will attract appropriate sanctions.
