The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu, has sworn in Chinedu Ikwunga as Chief Protocol and Ike Amadi as Executive Assistant, alongside other Special Assistants, as part of strategic efforts to strengthen his administration and deepen effective governance at the grassroots.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Council Secretariat, underscores the Chairman’s commitment to building a capable administrative team to drive his A.R.I.S.E. agenda and ensure efficient service delivery across the local government area.
While administering the oath of office, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu reminded the appointees that public service is a trust, stressing that the oath they took signifies a solemn commitment to the people of Obio/Akpor.
He urged them to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication, loyalty, and humility, emphasizing that the interest of the Local Government Area and the people must always take precedence over personal interests.
The Chairman further charged the Special Assistant and aides to uphold the responsibilities entrusted to them with utmost sincerity, noting that their offices are critical to achieving the objectives of the administration.
Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu also advised the appointees to leverage their previous experiences and professional qualifications in the discharge of their duties, in order to contribute meaningfully to effective governance and the overall development of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
