The Obio-Akpor Local Government Area hereby issues this important public announcement to all traders, hawkers, roadside vendors, illegal motor park operators, motorists engaging in unauthorized parking, shop owners permitting roadside displays, and all unauthorized persons operating in and around:• Rumuola Flyover
• Rumuadolu
• Rumuola-Rumuokwuta Road
• Rumuola-Aba Road
down to Open University
And its environs.
The Council has formally issued a Seven (7) Days Notice to Vacate, effective from the date of this publication.
All affected persons are required, within Seven (7) Days, to voluntarily:
• Remove all kiosks, sheds, tables, containers, and goods displayed on roads, walkways, verges, and setbacks;
• Cease all forms of street trading, illegal parking, and unauthorized motor park operations;
• Vacate all public right-of-way areas.
This directive is aimed at:
• Improving traffic flow and reducing congestion;
• Enhancing public safety and preventing avoidable accidents;
• Restoring environmental sanitation;
• Maintaining law and order within the Local Government Area.
All affected individuals and groups are strongly advised to comply within the stipulated timeframe to avoid enforcement actions and further directives by the Council and relevant authorities.
Law-abiding residents and businesses operating within approved premises have nothing to fear.
