The Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu has approved the dissolution of the Obio/Akpor Road Decongestion Committee with immediate effect.
The decision follows the completion of the Committee’s mandate to address traffic congestion, illegal roadside trading, and other activities obstructing major roads within the Local Government Area.
The Council appreciates the efforts and commitment of the Committee members in supporting the administration’s drive to restore order and improve traffic flow across Obio/Akpor.
All former members of the Committee are hereby directed to return any Council property, identification materials, operational equipment, or official items in their possession to the Office of the Chief of Staff immediately.
Relevant departments of the Council will continue to sustain the gains achieved and ensure compliance with traffic and environmental regulations within the LGA.
