The Obio/Akpor 10th Legislative Council held its 15th plenary session, presided over by the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Rex-Millia Abuchi Amadi. In his opening remarks, the Leader welcomed the legislators and urged them to remain focused and continue making decisions that will benefit the Local Government Council and their constituents.
After the reading of the Votes and Proceedings of the day, the Chief Whip, Hon. Amb. Joy Odomene, Councillor for Ward 16, moved a motion for adoption, which was seconded by Hon. Justice Ibebulachi Eziwho, Councillor for Ward 7.
An invitation from the Ogbakor Ikwerre Youth Assembly for a Centenary Celebration was read before the House.
Hon. Michael Azuonwu Uche called on the House to carry out an oversight function on Odex Company, located along the Eneka/Igwuruta Airport Road. He also reported that the company has taken the necessary measures to address the traffic congestion and disruptions previously associated with its operations.
The Chief Whip moved a motion to dissolve into a Committee of the Whole, which was seconded by Hon. Chief Chukwuemeka Edison Amadi, Councillor for Ward 3.
Following the Committee of the Whole, the Chief Whip moved a motion for the adjournment of the sitting, seconded by Hon. Enyinda Achor, Councillor for Ward 13.
