Nwerekanma Ladies Association Pays Courtesy Visit to Obio/Akpor Council Chairman
In a show of solidarity and support, the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu, earlier today received members of the Nwerekanma Ladies Association of Rivers State at the council headquarters in Rumuodomaya.
The delegation, made up of women from various communities, paid a courtesy visit to formally congratulate the council chairman on his emergence and assumption of office. Speaking during the visit, the group expressed their joy over his leadership, describing his emergence as a welcome development for the people of Obio/Akpor.
The women further commended Hon. Worlu for what they described as visible and positive changes taking place across the local government area within a short period of time. They noted that his leadership style has brought renewed hope and confidence to residents, while also acknowledging his commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance.
According to the association, the ongoing improvements and initiatives under his watch are clear indications of purposeful leadership,while pledging their continued support and cooperation to ensure the success of his administration.
In his response, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu expressed gratitude to the Nwerekanma Ladies Association for the visit and their kind words. He described their show of love and encouragement as a source of motivation to do more in service to the people.
The council chairman reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-oriented policies and sustainable development across Obio/Akpor.
