The Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB) has presented a brand-new utility vehicle to the Office of the Medical Officer of Health, Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, in a move aimed at strengthening healthcare service delivery and supporting the operational activities of the department.
Presenting the vehicle, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Professor Chituru Adiele, who was accompanied by directors of the Board, commended the Obio/Akpor Local Government Council’s Health Department for its proactive approach and commitment to advancing primary healthcare delivery within the Local Government Area.
Professor Adiele noted that the gesture was intended to encourage and support the department’s activities, while enhancing its operational capacity to effectively discharge its responsibilities.
The presentation ceremony was witnessed by the Vice Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), the Secretary of the Council, and other senior appointees of the Local Government Area.
Receiving the vehicle on behalf of the Health Department, the Director of Health, Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Dr. Chiny Babep, expressed appreciation to the management of the Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board for the timely intervention and support.
Dr. Babep assured the Board that the vehicle would be put to effective use to enhance the department’s operations, strengthen healthcare coordination, and advance the delivery of quality primary healthcare services across the LGA.
