COUNCILLOR REPRESENTING WARD 17 DISTRIBUTES 3,500 NOTEBOOKS, 40 SCHOOL BAGS TO PUPILS IN RUMUOLUMENI

The Councillor representing Ward 17 Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Hon Henry Amadi has distributed 3,500 notebooks and 40 school bags to pupils across the three Primary Schools in Rumuolumeni as part of efforts aimed at promoting learning and supporting academic excellence among children.
The gesture, which attracted commendation from residents and education stakeholders, was carried out with the support of the Chief Executive Officer of HOBNOB, whose contribution helped make the initiative successful.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Ward 17 Councillor said education remains a vital tool for community development and urged the pupils to remain focused on their studies and make proper use of the educational materials provided to them.
He noted that the initiative was designed to encourage reading culture among young learners and assist parents in easing the burden of purchasing educational materials.
The Councillor also appreciated the CEO of HOBNOB for partnering with him to invest in the educational future of children in the ward, describing the support as a demonstration of commitment towards human capital development.
In her remarks, the Principal of the school expressed profound appreciation to the Councillor and the leadership of Ward 17 Rumuolumeni for their commitment towards the educational development of children in the area. She described the donation as timely and impactful, noting that the notebooks and school bags would greatly enhance learning among the pupils.
Among dignitaries present at the event was Hon. Newman Ibuchi, former Supervisor for Youths and Sports in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, and Amb Eldee Asor Mmejim, Ambassador of Obio/Akpor Youths on Entrepreneurship who commended the initiative.
