A delegation of Rivers indigenous dental surgeons, led by Dr. Ihua Waribo Confidence, earlier today paid a courtesy visit to the Obio/Akpor Local Government Council in a move aimed at strengthening collaboration in the health sector, particularly in the area of oral healthcare delivery.
The team was warmly received at the executive chambers of the council by the Vice Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA, Dr.Mrs.Joyce Nyeche, who represented the Chairman. The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to engage in meaningful discussions centered on improving access to quality dental care for residents of the area.
The Vice Chairman, Dr. Joyce Nyeche, commended the delegation for their initiative and dedication towards advancing healthcare in Rivers State. She reiterated the commitment of the Obio/Akpor LGA administration to support programs that will improve the health care and wellbeing of the people.
Dr. Nyeche assured the delegation of the council’s readiness to collaborate in areas such as community sensitization, free dental check-ups, and capacity-building initiatives aimed at improving oral health standards within the LGA.
